5 Steps in Mediation Process

HPM hours

1. Dispute Identification: An unbiased party helps identify the issues in dispute and sets goals for mediation.

2. Communication Exploration: The mediator facilitates conversations between parties to ensure that all perspectives are heard and understood, while also encouraging open communication of ideas and feelings on both sides.

3. Problem-Solving: Through their mediation skills, the mediator helps find common ground between disputing parties by examining underlying interests and needs as well as offering alternative solutions outside of traditional litigation methods if needed.

4. Agreement Development: If agreement is reached, the mediation team drafts a legally binding document outlining agreed upon terms to prevent future disputes from arising again over similar matters in the estate plan or will of a deceased person if applicable .

5. Closure & Follow Up: After finalizing an agreement, closure is declared when each party agrees it has been satisfactorily resolved with no further obligations left unmet; however follow up may be necessary depending on individual conditions to ensure resolution is maintained over time moving forward!
